Not just are they working on the latest DSM 7 OS version that should come out this spring/summer, but also are pushing their hardware elements further. [Last year we go new NVMe and SATA SSDs](https://www.blackvoid.club/b/) marking the beginning of Synology's attempt to enter the enterprise market. Just a few weeks ago, they also [announced their HDD lineup](https://www.blackvoid.club/new-synology-hdd-s-spotted/) of drives with three capacity options. Well, today, we got some more new hardware. More official info on this in the [press release](https://ln.blackvoid.club/nvme800press?ref=blackvoid.club). ## New SNV3000 series 800GB drives ![](https://www.blackvoid.club/content/images/2021/02/Screenshot-2021-02-20-at-10.37.11.png) Adding to their last year's 400GB drives, this time around we got new 800GB models that are as well as the existing drives covered by a 5y warranty. All the technical specifications can be found in the [**SNV3000 datasheet**](https://ln.blackvoid.club/snv3000?ref=blackvoid.club). The main "upgrade" to these new drives are performance and durability. New 800GB models have a **Sequential Write (128KB, QD32)** that is doubled then the 400GB one, up to **1GB/s** while **Random Write (4KB, QD256)** has jumped from 40k IOPS to **70 000 IOPS**, not bad at all. Also **Terabytes Written (TBW)** on the new modules is almost **1PB** (988TB). Exclusively for the 3500-800GB (so the M.2 22110 model), there is also support for PLP (Power Loss Protection). Not bad at all. If that was not enough, we also got some new add-in cards in the range of 10 and even 25Gbe speed. Did I mention they were dual ports with support for aggregation?
