Today a new DSM 7.2 update has arrived with a version mark 7.2.1.-69057. Nothing major in this update apart from a few security patches and some preparations to separate the Storage Manager package into smaller modules in the upcoming version.

As of this version, the Storage Manager will be a package that we will be able to update via the Package Center as opposed to via a DSM upgrade. Synology has now moved a number of its services like the File Station, SMB service, SAN Manager, and now the Storage Manager.

⚠️
Starting with this version, the Storage Manager will no longer track or display S.M.A.R.T. attributes! Also, Western Digital's WDDA is no longer supported!

Storage Manager with 7.2.1 version has become a package
⚠️
As with the previous version of DSM 7.2, some models will have to manually get an update as this version will not automatically announce or install itself.
