Currently accessible via both Apple and Google Store (test flight mode), the new version will also require BSM version 1.2 or better for certain features to work.

So far, the mobile apps were focused on the BeeStation content management, but with new versions we can see that both apps allow navigation and configuration inside the BSM's settings features. Now, we will be able to view system information, perform reboots or shutdowns, invite and manage existing users, as well as update the device and its apps, and receive notifications via push.

Nice additions that many users will find welcome. Not that there was nothing wrong with using the desktop approach, but considering that these settings already are part of the BSM OS, it was expected to make its way into the mobile apps.

The fact is that most of us nowadays use mobile device more often that any desktop or table device, or having all the settings under our fingertips is a welcome addition.
The only setting that is missing now is setting up the BeeStation backup and configuration of external devices.

We probably won't see those features on the mobile platform any time soon, but then again, those are settings that are rarely accessible or need changing to justify being part of a mobile app to begin with.
Expect these beta app versions to roll out soon as new major versions in the respective Stores.
