Two new Synology BeeStation models for 2026
A lot has been announced and shown at this year's Computex expo, including what Synology is calling the "digital life" segment.
Stepping aside from the cutting-edge enterprise lineup, as well as new business and personal surveillance services, we will focus on and mention the new SOHO candidates for both hardware and software.
BeeStation lineup so far
Introduced in early 2024, Synology's Bee segment has expanded to include both DAS and NAS models annually, along with innovative software solutions.
Users have responded positively to the BeeDrive and BeeStation devices, which offer a portable 10G USB-C drive that fits in your pocket or a slim, book-like NAS available in standard and "plus" versions.

BeeStation Plus offering more power for demanding workflow

BeeStation, a NAS for everyday file management and more

BeeDrive is a portable 10G USB-C device that offers much more than it meets the eye
BeeStation quickly gained popularity among users seeking a turnkey solution for backup, sync, and remote access rather than a versatile, customizable NAS ecosystem. Synology also introduced BSM (BeeStation Manager), a simplified, mobile-friendly OS accessible via web or dedicated mobile applications, to deliver this streamlined experience.

Official Plex support for the BeeStation Plus
Since its initial version, BSM has already evolved by listening to user suggestions. Synology unlocked the option to back up BeeStation data onto multiple platforms and devices like C2 OneStorage, other Synology NAS devices, or their very own cloud service, BeeProtect.

Partnering with Acronis last year, customers who purchased BeeDrive or any BeeStation model received a complimentary three-year Acronis True Image Essential license.
A significant update to BeeStation was the official support for the Plex media server. Synology has supported the platform for years, and it has become an industry standard in media management. This was the primary reason for releasing the BeeStation Plus model last year.
What's new in 2026?
Both the BeeStation and BeeStation Plus series have welcomed two new models this year to provide users with a better experience and more diverse choices.
The BST151-4T is an updated version of the BST150-4T, with the main difference being that the memory has been upgraded from 1GB to 2GB. We have mentioned this new upcoming model back in April when it first started to appear on the Synology documentation site.

The BST170-4T is the 4TB version of BeeStation Plus, with all other specifications remaining the same. This provides a more price-competitive option for users who don't need as much capacity as 8TB but require more comprehensive functionality.

The current lineup now offers more pricing options for end users while delivering improved performance and consistent features across BeeStation categories. The BeeStation lineup also received surveillance updates (BeeCamera) that were introduced late last year and officially released in April 2026.

Initially, the BeeStation Plus model supported only the Synology CC400W surveillance camera, but the company has now announced support for the new generation of bullet, turret, and Wi-Fi camera models.

Last year at Computex, we demonstrated BeeCamera functionality using the CC400W, but we later understood that even in home or small business scenarios, there are different environmental and installation requirements. Therefore, we expanded the supported camera models to include both TC and BC series, giving users more choices.
BeeStation Plus comes with 4 built-in licenses, reducing the learning burden for new users. The new TC510/BC510/CC410W models are all compatible.
In terms of pricing (before VAT), the BeeStation models are priced at $329, $399, and $520 for the BST151-4T, BST170-4T, and BST170-8T, respectively, offering users multiple options suited to their needs. While two-bay models remain unavailable and redundancy could be a concern for some customers, Synology is clearly committed to expanding this product segment.
